Battery pack extension arrived quickly and works perfectly, These dark winters drink the battery power. I can put my ladders away now.

Very useful as my WS is pole mounted and not easily accessible for battery changes. I still have to do regular debris and solar panel cleaning but don't need to demount the station. Only complaint is cable is very thin, so not sure about long term mechanical strength, also 5m for my need would have been adequate.

My weather station is currently on a 6' pole on the garden fence. The only thing that was stopping me from installing it on the side of my house was the fact of having to climb up to change the batteries.

This little gadget should remove the issue and plans are now in action to install on the side of the house.

I am not sure how waterproof the battery compartment is - but I have installed this on my current set up (rain over the past 6 days) and there has been no water ingress into the compartment.

My WS90 is installed on a 1: diameter pole. It would have been better if the screw, that screws into the WS90 battery compartment, could be removed fully, then I could feed the cable down the pole. Other than that, it is something which should make the weather station maintenance much easier.
