The Ecowitt HP2561 weather station consists of the 7-in-1 sensor suite and large 7" TFT full colour display with built in temperature, humidity and pressure sensors making it an advanced weather station with full WiFi internet access.
The 7-in-1 sensor suite measures wind direct and speed, temperature, humidity, solar radiation, UV level, and rain.
The 7" high resolution TFT colour screen has a friendly & well-designed interface with two selectable backgrounds (dark or light). The console displays wind speed and direction, dew point, rainfall, indoor outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, moon phase, solar radiation and UV. There is also a full colour weather forecast function and optional microSD memory card to store historical data with a 1GB card storing on average 10 years of data.
This indoor data, along with the outdoor sensor data is uploaded to the FREE Ecowitt service via WiFi and is used to calculate rainfall rate, wind chill, dew point and heat index. All of this can be viewed on an iOS, Google App, or Ecowitt weather website in a browser.
You are not just limited to weather data on the Ecowitt weather site or App, you can share your data further afield with free access to Weather Underground, WeatherCloud and your own web server.
Unlike some other weather stations, the Ecowitt HP2561 can be expanded with a variety of sensors, click here to view the latest Ecowitt sensor matrix.
All of these are available to view in the App, or online via Ecowitt.net and in the 3rd party services that support this sensor type.

My old napkin station broke after 23 years so I needed a new one after a bit of research I chose this one I am so impressed with this Ecowitt hp2561 .. it was so simple to set up .. it’s very clear to see and packed with information… once I downloaded the app and set it up …which as very simple … the display unit updated the day date time.. the colour change icons are a nice touch when getting hotter or colder …. All in all a very nice and well thought out piece of kit … having my own local weather on my phone as well is a bonus … I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a rather station … I Leo had a few questions and weather spaces were very quick to help an answer my questions … great service .. thanks..
I had another make from Germany that gave up after 4 months si I took time to research and this is what I bought.
First off the display is smaller than the last one but has far more info, sort of professional looking, quite easy to setup which is a bonus, I do wonder why the solar bit on the top is not facing south?
Well so far it is working well and giving everything I need, it has moved from being on a wall to just freestanding as it is now easy to read, the only thing I would change is the screen size but I still have no complaints and hope it lasts longer than the German one.
This is my first "real" weather station I had prepared the ground for the sensors location and I am reasonably knowledgeable in regard to tech. But nothing prepared me for how simple it would be to get this kit up and running!
from opening the box to receiving data, locally and on line in well under thirty minutes. And it's an excellent bit of kit, well worth the cost.
